Carpet Information: What should you know when choosing a carpet?

It is important to choose the carpet according to the characteristics of the area you choose to use it in.

For heavily trafficked areas, it is recommended to choose a carpet that retains its design and colors for a long time.

When choosing a carpet, it is good to pay more attention to the following factors: preferred colors, amount of light, home decorations, and humidity percentage.

How should carpets be maintained daily? For long-term use, regular cleaning of carpets is important.

Vacuum the carpet with a powerful vacuum cleaner at least twice a week.

If you have heavy traffic, we recommend vacuuming the carpet every day.

Should the carpet be washed? Do not wash carpets with water! For a longer lifespan of the carpet, it is better to clean it by wiping.

Carpet cleaning should only be done with a quality carpet shampoo, using only the foam; water should not be used in any way.

After cleaning, the carpet should not be left damp; it should be spread out in a shady place, never in the sun. Do not use detergent, chlorine, or other cleaning products to clean the carpet. What does the pile of carpets mean? It means the height of the pile (yarn). It may vary depending on the type of carpet. Do not scratch the surface of the carpet with sharp or cutting objects.

Due to heavy objects with flat feet placed directly on the carpet, or forced stretching, they can deform (bend) the carpet's yarn over time; straightening that spot cannot be done on its own.

Over time, this leads to deformation of the carpet. If the furniture placed directly on the carpet leaves marks, what should we do? First of all, we recommend not placing furniture on the carpet. At regular intervals, be sure to change the location of objects on the carpet because things left in the same place on the carpet for a long time lead to deformation of its surface. What happens if we spill hot tea on the carpets?

We recommend not pouring liquids over 70°C on carpets or favoring contact with other hot surfaces (iron, tea, hot water, etc.).

If a liquid has been spilled on the carpet, we recommend absorbing the liquid from the carpet with a vacuum cleaner and, depending on the liquid spilled, using a stain remover according to the instructions on the label of the product used. Does the color of the carpet look different from different angles; is this a problem?

Depending on the shadows, carpets change color; this is not a problem. Depending on the traffic (density of use) on the surfaces of the carpet, there are small differences. This situation is even more pronounced, especially in light-colored flat carpets. To avoid this situation, replace the placement surfaces of the carpet.

Avoid exposing the carpet to direct sunlight for a long time, as this may cause it to fade. Change the location of the carpet often from direct sunlight or install curtains on the windows to avoid this situation. How do you store carpets that you no longer use? When transporting or storing, do not fold the carpet. Whenever you store or transport the carpet, it must be rolled. The storage area must not be damp. What should I do when the carpet loses its pile? The loss of pile in carpets made of discontinuous fibers is inevitable.

This aspect will be reduced shortly if the carpet is vacuumed regularly with a powerful vacuum cleaner.

STAIN REMOVAL

Step 1: Intervene immediately as soon as the stain appears on the carpet. Otherwise, it would be difficult to remove, and in some cases, stain removal will be impossible.

Step 2: The basic principle of removing stains from the carpet is to avoid using additional materials. Therefore, the stain on the carpet can be absorbed before starting any chemical application.

Step 3: Do not rub the area when cleaning the stain. This will lead to a more significant soaking of the carpet.

Step 4: Since the carpet is a three-dimensional product, although the initial surface has been cleaned after drying, the stains will instantly be visible again. Because stain removal is done from top to bottom, and drying from bottom to top, after drying, the stain seems visible again on the surface of the carpet. That is why the stain removal process is done repeatedly.

Step 5: If shampoo should be used during the stain removal process, then we will only use the foam from the shampoo. Never use water or the liquid part of the shampoo because these products are responsible for damaging the carpet.

Step 6: Proceed to remove the stain from the outside to the inside. The success of stain removal consists of not spreading it.

Step 7: Do not use hydrochloric acid, chlorine, or other chemicals to remove stains. The use of these chemicals will lead to damage to the fabric, discoloration, and decomposition thereof.

Step 8: If a certain chemical product is recommended for stain removal, before using the product on the stain, try it on a relatively unseen part of the carpet to ensure that it will not harm the fabric and color of the carpet.
